San Leandro Players

The San Leandro Players, an Ensemble Theatre Group,a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, strives to bring quality community theatre to the San Leandro area and to foster participation in the arts by San Leandro citizens.

Begun in late 1999, SLP's three show season continues to bring challenging and accessible works such as the well received "The Fourth Wall" and "The Matchmaker." SLP is also known for its outdoor summer Shakespeare program, which has included productions of "Much Ado About Nothing," "The Merry Wives of Windsor," "As You Like It," "Comedy of Errors" all in the lovely garden setting of the historic Casa Peralta; and an all-female production of "Julius Caesar," and "Pericles" at Chabot Park.

Whether on stage, behind the scenes or in the audience, San Leandro Players offers the community the opportunity to create and experience the thrill of theater right at home. SLP encourages the general public to learn about theater by not only seeing a show but also through volunteering in back stage, design, and administrative capacities.

Contact us if you would like to see how you can join in the fun.

SLP thanks the Arts Council of San Leandro for its generosity as well as the support of the City of San Leandro and community at large.

The Players perform in the San Leandro Museum/Auditorium at 320 West Estudillo Ave. in San Leandro.
